Policies

All of the youth leagues listed in this website, except for football & cheer, are for Dennis Township residents only. To be a resident of Dennis Township you must officially and legally reside within the township’s boundaries. Falsification of a registration form will result in immediate removal from the league/activity with no money refunded.

All recreation volunteer coaches and assistant coaches must be eighteen years of age or older. Anyone wishing to coach must complete the online concussion training course and submit the course completion certificate along with a background check form to the recreation department. Also suggested is that each volunteer become a National Youth Sports Coaches Association certified coach. The website for the online training program on concussions is www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/Training/HeadsUpConcussion.html. The website for NYSCA certification is www.nays.org/nyscaonlineclinics. Be sure to select Dennis Twp Rec Dept as the Chapter Name. Please note that the concussion training is free but there is a twenty five dollar fee for the NYSCA training.

Registration Policy

The municipal auditor has directed this office to deposit (within a 24 hour period) any monies collected for recreation programs. Since each program is run through an association and is made up of volunteers, we try very hard to accommodate the treasurers of these associations, as they are the persons responsible to deposit the monies. Therefore, there are specific dates and times set up for registration with no exceptions.
